CIDAF mission is to collaborate with agro-food companies, research centers and research groups in order to generate and transfer new knowledge to the industry, thus contributing to the economic and social development of our land.

CIDAF focuses its scientific research on the determination of agro-food bioactive compounds with the aim of using them in human and/or animal foods, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, active packaging materials, and other purposes.

CIDAF also contributes to building and strengthening the competitiveness of the agro-food industry through innovation and technology development. Indeed, CIDAF transfers knowledge, scientific research and the experience of the University, and its technicians and researchers, to the production sector, helping to obtain new bioactive compounds, functional foods, nutraceuticals and other products with high added-value.
